Upper West Side

Chock Full of Nuts Upper West Side and Midtown Manhattan have been my go-to preferred coffees for at least the past 5 years or longer. I am almost 80 and the brand has been around since I was a kid. Once in awhile I still sing the verses from their “heavenly coffee” jingle that was on early TV in the 1950s. I do have a strong preference for the environmentally preferable mesh pods as opposed to the plastic K-cups.

It saddens me that you went with those plastic Kcups instead of the BETTER open pods. I am more disappointed at the patronizing response to my email when I asked specific questions and it was obvious that your replies were generated by AI bot. When you sent the survey about this exchange, it was a fake, blank page with no survey on it. Shame on you.
I was told the coffee tastes better with the plastic pods. NO IT DOES NOT.
Now I have to drink coffee from pods I need to tear apart to recycle. That’s not happening and I blame your poor decision on that. That type of plastic is also NOT recyclable in many towns and mine is one of them.
Did you even think about people with very arthritic hands trying to open the tops of those things to no avail?
I had planned to buy another $100 worth of coffee but I may not now and that’s a damn shame as I’ve been drinking your brand since the 1970’s.
You’re crapping on loyal customers with this allegiance to Keurig, which BTW, makes awful machines. They die yearly.
Your old pods are way more recyclable and the coffee tastes better. Yes I can tell.

Why can’t I find upper west side in any stores ?

I love the taste of Upper West side Coffee. Always a quick turnaround with order.

My husband grew up in the New England and remembers his grandparents always drinking this coffee. He eventually moved out here to the Pacific Northwest and was tired of trying to find a coffee he really enjoyed drinking. He took a chance a few years ago and n the internet to see if this coffee company still existed. Lo and behold you do. So, I have been ordering the Upper Westside Pods for him. He loves the flavor, aroma and depth of this roast. Besides being a great brew, it brings back many good memories with his grandparents. Thank you for continuing to carry this product.

I love the coffee however I don’t like the pods. They are not working well with my Keurig. The old pods were great and they used much less plastic. Why the change?

My most recent order of Dark Roast was December 5. It sat or was stuck somewhere until December 23, after I was out of the Country on Christmas Vacation, so it was on my porch until December 30. Unfortunately local stores only carry light and medium not dark. This cumbersome ordering process will cause me to think about options. It also causes me to rate a 5 to a 3.

Always liked Chock full o’Nuct

If you like your coffee a little stronger Upper West Side is for you. Ordering they Chock full o’ nuts is easy and less expensive than going to the grocery store.

My most favorite coffee ever...can't ever have enough on hand.

I love a nice dark roast coffee, but it's hard to find one that isn't bitter, this one is not bitter at all. It has a nice bold taste which I like. The reason for my 4 stars is, because I prefer the taste of the Coffee Pods, instead of the plastic ones, it just taste better. You should really reconsider producing them again.

My husband loves this brew. He has tried other brands but this is it. Glad we were able to restock with the sale.

Upper west side not carried in my local stores, was so happy I could purchase directly from the chock full o’ nuts website. Wish they also had the old favorites from the original stores of the 80’s like the date nut bread, etc
