Uptown Express

I'm an old-school, hardcore coffee drinker. No lattes, no frappuccinos, no flavored roasts, just good old straight-up COFFEE! After trying many brands throughout my life, I had finally found a coffee brand that, frankly, didn't make coffee drinking a chore. Chock Full Of Nuts. At first, I had fallen hard for the New York Roast Dark.
But then I saw it! Uptown Express - Extra Caffeine (UEECD), and it, too, was a Dark Roast! It had everything I've ever needed, Extra Caffeine in a Dark Roast. Even the name evokes New York, Uptown Express.
Sensing a theme aside, my work was cut out for me. How to find UEECD in a town that thinks Starbucks is a NEW entity? First, I petitioned my local grocer to stock it, which they did.
BUT...
Seeing that savings coupon in my email (if you aren't signed up for Chock Full's emails, social media, etc., do so!) my wife then took it upon herself to order me a case! Only because they either don't come in the large can, or our retailed doesn't stock the big can. Otherwise, I would be buying it in the super-large can size (32oz) and possibly a case of those!
It's tough when you drink 6 cups of it a day...
Taste, aroma, and that special little kick. What more do you need?

I've always drank medium Chuck full of nut brand but this particular dark roasted is absolutely fantastic! I will never go back to medium ground flavor.

I can't feel much of yhe extra caffeine

While Uptown Express offers some additional taste. It does not tend to have the feeling of more caffeine. Also, it doesn’t look, smell or taste anything like Expresso ! Chock full is still my coffee of choice. Just needs some more evaluation.

Me and my sister enjoyed this over the holidays. I make coffee with an old fashioned perculator so it normally gets a strong brew even out of the weakest coffee's but this coffee was pretty strong without the burnt taste of a dark roast. Almost the same as another competitors blonde roast but this was priced to sell better. It was a perfect cup for a traditional Sunday breakfast. I wish this was in the grocery stores where I live.

Wonderful and keeps me energized. Has a great flavor, perfect for the mornings and smooth as all get out. Another home run from you guys!

This coffee is rich and robust without a “burnt” flavor or harsh aftertaste. While it’s outstanding black, it pairs beautifully with creamer…. neither flavor drowning out the other. Double caffeine doesn’t hurt either! ;)

Great smooth, silky mouth fell. A nice coffee taste, not bitter. And a nice pick me up.

Chock Full 'o Nuts quality but small competition with my favorite, "Upper West Side." Works great in my French Press. I'd buy it again in K-Cups. P.S. I've noticed many manufacturers are reducing the amount of product in K-cups to keep the price down. Please don't! I'd rather pay more for more than less for less. Have a wonderful day.

Love the coffee and the customer service! The mobile site is clunky and hard to navigate. But worth it for the uptown express coffee.

Really very good quality. I like the extra ‘kick’ with higher caffeine content, but not overwhelming. Still great taste

High stakes with no shakes.
Bold AND delicious. Which isn’t always the case with a bolder coffee. Not bitter if made properly. Look, all I can say is it’s good. If you like your Java strong without the bitterness and jitters you got nothing to lose.
